Handmade Beaded Floral Appliqué Medicine Pouch Neckwear  Keepsake  
 
Introducing a new collection of beadwork designs I am calling Gouyen's Garden,  These pieces highlight  my love for indigenous art and seed beading. I learned at a young age to bead from my boyfriend's Apache grandmother, whom we called Shich'ine (Grandmother) or Gouyen (Wise Woman) . She has since walked on, yet her kindness and joy in teaching me, even as a young non-native, became an art form I have carried and incorporated in my work throughout my life. I dedicate this collection to Grandmother Gouyen, infusing her spirit into each piece of my beading collection along side my handcrafted handbags, purses, and accessories.
 
Features soft deer hide leather split , glass czech seed beads + silver color African trade and metal beads.  A traditional style floral appliqué designed with multi color seed beads; this pouch can be worn as art wear, kept as a keepsake or used as a sacred medicine pouch.  Traditionally owners fill  their bags with special spirit items for protection such as, (herbs,  sage, cedar, rocks, crystals, bone or totems) I crafted this bag in a vintage indigenous medicine bag style . Strap is adjustable via a deer antler button.
